Seeking a FULL - time receptionist at a Medical Clinic located in downtown Toronto.
A receptionist is the first point of contact between the clinic and patient. A warm, friendly, and caring personality is of importance. In this role, the administrative support includes answering phones, greeting patients and visitors, and prompt email responses to new and existing patient inquires, and scheduling appointments in a professional and timely manner.
Since we are a smaller clinic, further tasks at times may include assisting with projects for marketing & educational activities such as creating patient educational materials.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Welcomes and greets all patients and visitors, in person or over the phone
- Answers the phone while maintaining a polite, consistent phone manner using proper telephone etiquette
- Responsible for keeping the reception area clean and organized
- Registers and books new/existing patients in online scheduling system
- Facilitates patient flow by notifying the provider of patients' arrival, being aware of delays, and communicating with patients and clinical staff
- Responds promptly to phone and email inquiries by current/prospective patients in a prompt and courteous manner
- Process payment for services and products received by patient, using a POS system
- Able to comfort patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions
- Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving online patient records.
- Maintains online patient profile by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
- Keeps medical supplies adequately stocked by anticipating inventory needs, placing orders, and monitoring office equipment
Education Requirements
Minimum a high school diploma or graduation equivalency degree.
Experience & Skills
Previous administration or receptionist experience in an integrative/Naturopathic Medical Clinic setting is preferred. During this time experience with telephone etiquette, scheduling, customer service, fast typing skills, email correspondence, basic word and excel programs, multi-tasking, and organizational skills are all valuable.

Salary: $22.00 per hour
