SUMMARY
The Office Coordinator at Burrard International is an important member of the head office team who stewards our friendly, fun, collaborative culture and ensures that the office runs efficiently. This role welcomes guests to our downtown Vancouver office and as such works full-time and onsite. Someone who is friendly, motivated, organized, and detail-oriented would be a great fit. The successful incumbent finds purpose in the flawless execution of all those little details that make an office run smoothly.
This role, reporting to the Director of People and Culture, has a variety of responsibilities in business administration including office operations, marketing, accounting, and hospitality, which support all the businesses within the Burrard family including GolfBC Group, The Burrard Building, and various real estate development projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Office Operations
- Create a professional and welcoming experience for all who come to the office
- Maintain the office aesthetic standard
- Coordinate company events such as holiday parties, group outings, happy hours, and celebrations
- Oversee procurement and presentation for office provisions including office supplies and our food and beverage program
- Manage relationships with vendors and service providers
- Assist with document control, calendar management, and inventory management
- Coordinate calendars, bookings and catering for meetings
Sales and Marketing
- Assist with real estate and hospitality marketing including social media
- Market and sell the conference rooms for meetings and events
- Interact with clients to help develop relationships and obtain feedback
- Help develop marketing ideas to reach new audiences and drive tours into the office rental space
- Answer email inquiries
Accounting
- Run reports to provide sales and labour data to on-site Managers
- Manage office budget
- Complete expense reports for office purchases
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- 1 – 3 years of office experience
- Strong customer service skills, hospitable, welcoming, engaging
- Very strong attention to detail, thorough, organized
- Interest in hospitality, marketing, and events though experience not required
- Highly motivated, takes initiative, accountable for results, resourceful
- Works and communicates extremely well verbally and in writing
- Interacts effectively with Team Members at all levels in the organization and enjoys independent work
- Very strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office
COMPENSATION
- $45,000 to $55,000 annual salary
- 15 days of annual vacation + paid time off between Christmas and New Year’s + Easter Monday Off
