The Town is seeking an energetic, dynamic individual for the position of Operations Manager. The successful candidate will be strongly devoted to public service, be team-orientated, innovative and result-driven. This person will be part of a great team, and will be responsible for supervising subordinates, working closely with other departments and contractors, and maintaining the water/sewer and road networks. Be responsible for the fleet maintenance and replacement program and always present themselves in a professional manner.
You will be working in a vibrant community of 6,800 at the doorstep to the Rocky Mountains and outdoor adventure. We have all the amenities and more. As a key player in our team, you will have or willing to achieve the following qualifications
- Municipal supervisory experience (minimum 5 years)
- Five years’ experience of operational experience in water/wastewater and transportation-related functions.
- Completion of Grade 12 diploma.
- Valid Class 3 Drivers License with Q endorsement (Air brakes).
- Heavy equipment experience with loaders, backhoe, skid steer and tandem axle dump trucks.
- Ability to maintain excellent public and staff relations.
- Willing to get relevant training for the position.
