Job description

We are seeking a new team member who has a passion for hospitality, commitment to excellence and a friendly personality who craves meaningful interactions. Your role is crucial in promoting our unique community and culture in the Kawarthas and creating memorable stays.

Your role as a Front Desk Agent is to assist guests efficiently, courteously and professionally in Front Desk related functions. To maintain high standards of service and hospitality to all guests and staff. To perform assigned tasks while maintaining high levels of customer service. Must be available to work afternoons, weekends and holidays. Primary shifts will be mid week and weekend shifts working 3-11pm or 4-12am.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ability to remain on feet and stationary for extended periods of time
  • Register arriving guests and assign room
  • Process group arrivals and departures
  • Make, cancel and change room reservations
  • Process telephone calls, process wake-up calls
  • Investigate and resolve any guest issues
  • Process guest departures
  • Calculate charges and receive payments
  • Balance cash
  • Cash reports and related forms
  • Problem solving/Decision making/Critical thinking
  • Follow emergency, safety as well as company policies and procedures
  • Clerical duties (i.e. Faxing, filing, photocopying)
  • Provide local information and answer local area related questions. Provide directions for guests to assist them in locating a local destination.
  • Serve alcohol to guests by following AGCO laws and regulations

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Salary: $16.55-$17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
