We are currently seeking a part-time, EXPERIENCED PARTS assistant to aid our very busy Parts Manager and be available for vacation fill in. A qualified individual is responsible for assisting the Parts Manager in operating the Parts Department, reaching goals set by the business, handling customer concerns, and shop workflow. S.G. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage inventory and order parts and works to meet customers' needs.
- Responsible for forecasting, inventory control, purchasing, pricing, merchandising, displaying, and security.
- Provide information regarding parts, including their function, prices, applications and warranties.
- Ensure accurate costing and crediting for all received and returned parts.
- Maintain parts inventory by coordinating with the manufacturer on required parts, creating effective procedures to monitor both parts inventory and data input into the computer system.
- Maximize the use of factory stock orders and factory return privileges to reduce parts inventory over specified number of months.
- Maintain inventory of failed parts for warranty claims audit purposes.
- Negotiate pricing with vendors to obtain parts.
- Oversee and/or perform parts inventory counts.
- Conduct inventory reconciliation.
- Follow all company and manufacturer policies, directives, and procedures.
- Other duties as required.
An Ideal Candidate will have the following:
- FORD dealership experience would be considered an asset.
- Experience as an Automotive Parts Advisor is required.
- Previous Assistant Parts Manager experience is an asset.
- A valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office 365
- Ability to learn and utilize electronic parts catalogs.
- DMS Keyloop(SERTI) or similar DMS software and inventory systems is an asset.
- Strong time management skills, able to manage multiple priorities and great organizational abilities.
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
- Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
- High level of integrity and work ethic.
