Company Introduction: T&T Supermarket Inc. was founded in 1993 with two stores in BC. Since then, it has expanded rapidly and is now Canada’s largest Asian supermarket chain with 33 stores across the country: 14 in BC, 7 in Alberta, 11 in Ontario, and 1 in Quebec. The Company’s continuous expansion is going to bring more new stores in the next couple of years.
The Role: Reporting to the Assistant Manager – Admin, the Merchandising Administration Assistant (Temporary Part-Time) provides support to Item Description Revision Project, revising and enhancing the English names of our products. As a crucial member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring accuracy, clarity, and consistency in our product descriptions across various T&T platforms.
- Major Responsibilities: Revise and adjust product names based on the Merchandising Item Description Guidelines and the names displayed on the product packaging, ensuring consistency with the product packaging, and accurately reflecting the product. Propose revisions to product names that improve clarity, searchability, and appeal to T&T customers.
- Maintain detailed documentation of changes made and the rationale behind revisions for future reference.
- Collaborate with team member to ensure a mutual checking process among team members to avoid errors.
- Work efficiently by smartly and quickly identifying products, thereby achieving hourly output goals, and ensuring timely task completion.
- Assist in completing any additional tasks related to product naming and description revision as assigned by the supervisor.
- Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements: Completed High School education or having English major at university.
- Proficiency in English language with excellent writing and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while working with large volumes of data.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a collaborative team.
- Prior experience in copywriting, editing, or content creation is a plus.
- Comfortable with using computer software and online tools for research and documentation.
- Flexible schedule with availability to work part-time hours as needed.
