Pegasus Community Project has been supporting adults with developmental disabilities for 30 years. We're committed to providing our participants with meaningful activities and community engagement to facilitate growth, dignity, and choice.
As an office/project assistant, you'll be supporting a small office team to ensure that our programs and organization run smoothly. You'll get a variety of experience working with different members of the team.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the office and administrative team through organizational tasks such as filing and organizing
- Support office and store staff for special projects, including:
- ----The planning of Pegasus’ annual picnic
- ----A local business connection initiative
- ----And more!
- Respond to enquiries from the community regarding Pegasus’ services via phone or email
- Provide support to The Pegasus Shoppe as-needed including:
- ----Assistance at external markets
- ----Assisting with posts on social media
- ----Provide progress reports on tasks and assignments
Qualifications (Required):
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organizational and time management skills (e.g. Knowing how to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines)
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Able to work collaboratively and to follow instructions
- An inclusive attitude towards those with disabilities is a must
- Some experience (6 months or more) in an office/administrative setting is preferred
Qualifications (Not required, but nice to have)
- Comfortability with social media (Instagram, etc.) an asset
- Current student or graduate of a post-secondary institution
- Ideally, someone who is looking to work in a related field in the future

Important Notes:
- This is a temporary contract position running from approximately the end of April for up to 14 weeks, depending on funding
- This is a Canada Summer Jobs position, only open to those under the age of 30 and who are Permanent Residents/Canadian Citizens. We unfortunately cannot accept international students for this position.
