Patient Billing Coordinator - Physiotherapy Clinic

We are looking for an experienced Billing Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare and customer service, and will be responsible for managing patient schedules, co-ordinating billing and collections, liasing with payors and patients, and ensuring a positive patient experience. The successful candidate will be able to effectively communicate with patients, heathcare providers (Physiotherapy, Massage Therapy, Chiropody), and payors.

Responsibilities:

• Schedule patient appointments and coordinate with other departments to ensure timely service (software: Practice Perfect)
• Perform billing-related services (Motor Vehicle Accidents/MVA, Workplace Safety and Insurance Board/WSIB, Extended Health Care/EHC, and OHIP).
• Knowledge of insurer billing portals an asset (HCAI/Provider Connect/etc).
• Provide customer service to patients.
• Handle incoming calls and inquiries from patients and other healthcare providers.
• Ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner. Familiarity with WSIB/MVA/EHC/OHIP paperwork is an asset.
• Follow up with patients to ensure satisfaction with services provided.

Candidate must have effective communication skills, a friendly and respectful demeanor, and previous experience with some or all of the above billing related services. Previous experience working in similar environments is welcome.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $19.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
