SalaryOur client, a major oil and gas transportation company is currently seeking a Pipeline Operator to join their busy Operations team in the Sturgeon County, Alberta area. The Pipeline operator will operate pipeline assets including, but not limited to, valve manifolds, pig launchers and receivers, compressor stations, dehydration units, amine process plants, and control and pump stations. This is a Mat leave coverage that will go from May-October 2024. The shift is a 8/6, 10 hours a day with on call responsibilities. Candidates need to reside withing 60kms of Sturgeon County.

Our Staffing Services group works with customers across western Canada to recruit qualified candidates for assignments ranging from emergency callouts to longer term contingent workforce solutions. Our customers rely on us for operational staff, including plant/field operators, turnaround staff, administration and camp support staff.
In addition to fulfilling the operating needs of oil and gas producing, midstream and pipeline companies, Roska operates, designs and builds well-site facilities, rents equipment and provides production testing and flowback services using a company-owned well testing fleet. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Take samples and perform routine grind outs to measure sediment and water content and determine quality.
- Perform tank gauging to measure tank contents and account for product stored and product moved into and out of tanks.
- Hand gauging field tanks accurately.
- Perform routine daily maintenance tasks.
- Interpret the plant’s piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID) and control schematics.
- Understand liquid measurement principles, such as (flow metering and water cut).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Production Field/Pipeline Operator
- 5 years previous related oil, industrial or pipeline experience
- Must have valid safety tickets (H2S, First Aid)
- A disciplined work ethic and ability to take initiative
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Capable of working in both a team and individual environment
- Valid class 5 license (NO GDL)
- Capable of passing pre-hire Drug and Alcohol screening.
