Job Purpose:
Our continuous growth creates a demand for heavy maintenance lines. We service the Dash 8 Q400, Dash 8 100/300 aircrafts, along with, the CRJ100/200/700/900 aircrafts, Boeing 737 (all series) and Embraer E170/175 aircraft.

Job Description: *
Accountable to the Production Manager and the two principals of JD Aero, the Production Assistant supports the daily operations of the production team, and the planning of the incoming and outgoing aircraft schedule. Working in a fast-paced environment, the Production Assistant is a point of contact for the maintenance staff, mechanics and groomers. From time to time, the Production Assistant will work in partnership with Human Resources and the Payroll Department and provide updates on employee behaviours, interactions and performance,
Role & Responsibilities:
Production:
- Foster positive relationships across departments, promoting seamless information exchange among Production, Stores, Technical Records, Human Resources, and the Executive team.
- Assist with prioritizing tasks within maintenance, structures, avionics, composite, and paint shops, facilitating the planning of incoming checks for optimal resource allocation during varying workloads.
- Assist with ensuring project commitments are met within safety, budget, and quality parameters.
- Assist with daily maintenance operations, assessing project efficiencies through reports, analysis, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Offer estimates for man-hours required for different projects, using existing data.
- Assist with employee schedules and time-off requests, ensuring adequate workforce availability.
- Assist with supporting Stores in organizing parts, tooling, ground support equipment, and manpower for incoming heavy checks.

Educational Requirements, Skills and Qualifications:
Educational Requirements:
· Degree in business would be an asset
· Aircraft Maintenance Engineer training or equivalent would be an asset
· High School Diploma

Qualifications
- 2 to 3 years of aircraft maintenance knowledge, with knowledge of MRO business activities
- Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft SQL Server, knowledge of Winair is an asset
Working hours: *
Typically, working hours fall between 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, though they may be adjusted as necessary
