The Childcare Resource and Referral (CCRR) Program Coordinator 2 is responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing the day-to-day activities of the CCRR Hub. They will be a key part of program development, policies and procedure formulation and program evaluation for the CCRR program. While working as part of the team providing quality care with a child-centered approach to participants while ensuring health and safety.
What you’ll do
· Plans and develops program activities and special events in consultation with the Program Manager.
· Formulates program policies and procedures and evaluates the effectiveness of the program in consultation with the Program Manager.
· Oversees the day-to-day activities of the program by ensuring that the necessary facilities and equipment are in place, guidelines and policies are adhered to, and program standards and licensing/governance requirements are met.
· Instructs workers on safe work practices.
· Ensures that health and safety policies and procedures are followed at all times.
· Supervises program staff by performing duties such as assigning work, providing feedback on performance, on the job coaching and contributing to performance evaluations.
· Participates in the recruitment and selection of program staff by screening applicants, participating in interviews, completing reference checks, and making hiring recommendations.
· Schedules program staff in accordance with program staffing requirements.
· Provides onboarding support for new staff, and coordinates training for program staff, volunteers, and practicum students.
· Monitors and authorizes program expenditures and maintains records in accordance with established procedures.
· Promotes public awareness of and support for the program by producing promotional materials and attending community events.
· Liaises with community service providers and other professionals to coordinate service provision, facilitate referrals, and represent the organization or program at external events.
· Maintains related records and statistics and produces reports as required.
· Performs other related duties as required.
What you bring
· Completion of post-secondary education in human/social services field, plus three years recent related experience, including one year of supervisory or administrative experience. Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
· Successful completion of a criminal record check
· Certification in First Aid and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention or MANDT
· Valid B.C. Driver’s License and a reliable vehicle with appropriate insurance
· Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications
· Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
· Flexibility and the ability to handle a diverse and complex workload.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure and manage conflict effectively.

Salary: $32.79-$37.64 per hour
