We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Part-Time Project Assistant/Research Assistant to join our team and support our mission.
Job Responsibilities
- Event Coordination and Planning:
- Assist in planning and coordinating major CAPSA events, including conferences, workshops, and seminars.
- Coordinate logistics, such as venue selection, catering, audiovisual equipment, and participant registration.
- Assist in developing event agendas and materials.
- Provide on-site support during events, ensuring smooth operations.
- Research Assistance:
- Collaborate with CAPSA's research team to conduct literature reviews and gather relevant research materials.
- Assist in data collection and analysis, using diverse platforms to pull data.
- Compile research findings into clear and concise reports.
- Maintain organized research databases and documentation.
- Administrative Support:
- Provide administrative support as needed, including scheduling meetings, managing email correspondence, and preparing documents and presentations.
- Assist in grant proposal development and reporting.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with CAPSA team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas and solutions to improve processes.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in health sciences, social sciences or other related discipline, or a combination of education and experience.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Professionalism, with excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Capacity to complete tasks quickly and efficiently.
- Ability to work independently and within a team context.
- Strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of diverse platforms for data retrieval and analysis.
Working Conditions: On site work at CAPSA’s offices
Salary Scale: The suggested salary scale for this position in alignment with not-for-profit organizations in Ontario is $18 - $22 per hour commensurate with the candidate's experience, qualifications, and the organization's budget.
