Project Manager Assistant: First General / BT Construction Group:
First General Services & BT Construction Group, is a full-service insurance restoration and general contracting company in Sault Ste Marie.

The Project Manager Assistant plays a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of restoration and construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The Project Manager Assistant will collaborate with the Project Manager and work closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Place initial call to insured/homeowner upon receipt of assignment, setup appointment and distribute claims evenly.
- Ensure KPI’s are kept up to date throughout the assignment duration
- May have to attend site when needed with site supervisor to access and instruct commencement of emergency mitigation
- Assist with taking initial photos, moisture readings, measurements, and then sketch in XA the affected areas of property

-Issuing Purchase Orders
-Working with Time Tracking software (Vericlock) to run payroll and set up job links with Sage accounting
- Assist Project Managers (PMs) with scope for thorough estimating
- Review job costs, both Emergency and Repair with the PMs for invoicing purposes
- Conduct weekly file review meetings with PMs to ensure invoicing is up to date and accurate
- Assist the PMs with job scheduling and quality control with the field staff
- Work in conjunction with accounts payable to ensure invoicing is current and accurate
Qualifications:
- Diploma in construction management, engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in Project Management within the construction industry, particularly in restoration or renovation projects.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively motivate and manage project teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Project Management software
- Knowledge of construction laws, regulations, and safety standards.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $40,000.00-$76,000.00 per year
