Your work environment at EXP
EXP is looking for an individual to join their Geotechnical Division Team as a Project Manager Assistant. The candidate will be responsible for assisting the Project Managers on the Markham Geotechnical team in planning, coordinating, and implementing project objectives. The candidate will also serve as a liaison to coordinate with numerous internal teams and monitor the financials of the projects throughout their lifecycle, as well as to assist in the scheduling and coordination of various fieldwork in geotechnical, environmental, and excess soils projects.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
- Assist in the scheduling and coordination of fieldwork for geotechnical and environmental projects.
- Assist with tracking construction progress for various import and export sites in excess soil projects. Support Project Managers to identify sampling requirements, tracking of soil quality documentations and updating of Excess Soil Registry as project milestones are reached.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to develop and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate financial tracking and reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, forecasts, and projections for geotechnical projects. Coordinate with project reams and compile financial data, ensuring timely and accurate submission of financial documentation.
- Monitor project expenses and analyze variances, providing recommendations for corrective actions as needed.
- Support the preparation of financial proposals, bid and contracts for geotechnical projects.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to track and manage project invoicing, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Ensure master service agreements or project specific agreements are in place for sub-contractors and updated as required.
What your experience looks like
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledgeable in the coordination of geotechnical and environmental projects.
- Experienced in scheduling and coordinating a team of staff to attend various sites/fieldwork.
- Proven experience in financial analysis and project accounting.
- Strong understanding of financial principles and budgeting processes.
- Proficient in using financial software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
- Detail oriented with a focus on accuracy in financial data management.
