Barney River is currently seeking a Property Administratorto join our team in North York. The Property Administrator/Leasing Agent works under the direction of the Property Manager to oversee the administrative and maintenance operations.
As a member of the property management team, the key responsibilities of the Property Administratorinclude but are not limited to:
Customer Service:
- Ensure that a superior level of co-operation, service and support is provided to residents.
- Promptly respond to resident issues and service requests
- Be available to residents for general inquiries about living in their suite, building and community
Operations/Accounting:
- Property management office administration
- Vacancy and arrears management,
- Preparation of legal forms (N4, N5, etc.)
- Tenant file administration,
- Lease administration, tenant liaison, maintenance management.
- Other assignments within the scope, spirit, and purpose of the job as reasonably requested from time to time by management.
- Keep track of tenant files and ensure files are up to date and complete, including but not limited to lease agreements, amendments, renewals, and terminations, offers to lease, notices, contracts, lease abstracts, tenant letters and all other documentation.
Desired Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role, the candidate must possess the following combination of education, experience, and skills:
- Minimum two years of experience in residential property management.
- Experience utilizing Yardi.
- Knowledge of RTA as an asset.
- Ability to meet deadlines proficiently.
- Demonstrates a high degree of integrity.
- Superior oral and written communication skills.
- Strong computer skills – MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong administrative experience in Residential Property Management.
- Experience in rental management is an asset.
- Solid Analytical Strengths.
- Ability to apply logic and reasoning to effectively execute administrative tasks, projects, legal, and contractual problems.
- Provide solutions or recommendations to the tenants.
