We are a software company serving the long term care sector with customers across North America.
We are looking for an experienced part-time Bookkeeper/Accounts Receivable.
Bookkeeping/Accounts Receivable Responsibilities:
- Send out invoices via Xero
- Make follow up phone calls on overdue invoices
- Process payments and mark as received in Xero
- Bank account reconciliation monthly
- Bi-weekly payroll
- Submit HST quarterly
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Pleasant phone manners.
- Maintaining a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers.
- Communicating and coordinating with colleagues as necessary.
- Communicating with proper grammar and punctuation.
- Following internal handoff procedures and collaborating with members of other departments.
Mandatory Skills:
- 2-5 years experience working in a related accounts receivable/bookkeeping position.
- 2+ years experience working in CRM (client relationship management software).
- 2+ years experience in customer service or client relations.
- 2+ years experience using accounting software such as Quickbooks or other web based accounting software (such as Xero).
- Advanced computer skills.
- Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Comfortable communicating internally with a chat system such as Google/Slack/Teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to self-regulate, utilizing down time and managing high intensity periods.
- Ability to teach yourself new skills, competencies, and find answers on your own.

Working Environment:
- This is a part-time remote position that requires a once weekly commute to our Whitby office.
- You must have a quiet workplace available, home office is acceptable, where there will be minimal interruptions during working hours.
- You need sufficient desk space to support a PC tower and two monitors.
- You will be responsible for reliable, stable high speed internet to perform your job.
- We will provide necessary computer equipment such as computer, monitor(s), keyboard, mouse, webcam, and headset.
Working Hours (Eastern Time):
- Part-time weekday hours, with flexibility to accommodate some of the candidate’s preferred schedule.
- ActivityPro serves customers across six time zones so there is a requirement for weekday afternoon work.
- Approximately 20 hours per week could be scheduled, for example:
- 5 days per week Monday to Friday from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm
- 3 days per week Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
- Candidate will need to commute to our Whitby office once per week during regular business hours.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Salary: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
