Quality Assurance Analyst

Position Summary:

As a technology leader, ERTH Business Technologies is seeking an individual to join our remote team providing Quality Assurance testing. The Quality Assurance Analyst’s primary role is to ensure that software is appropriately verified and validated; this includes executing test cases for tracking defects and fixes in products being developed or maintained by the Software Engineering department. The QA Analyst will also gradually learn to create test cases and test plans, and be provided with opportunities to acquire in-depth knowledge of the industries that the applications are used in. The ideal candidate will possess a technical aptitude, strong troubleshooting skills, along with a creative and energetic attitude.

Responsibilities:

o Perform tests against existing and new products, including functional, systems, regression and performance tests, as applicable.

o Analyze test results in order to discover and report any defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws.

o Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders and management.

o Contribute to department initiatives, especially test automation

o Participate in customer facing events, as applicable.

o Where appropriate, support the development of team members from a professional, technical perspective.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

o Recognized designation/post-secondary education in a related field such as computer programming, computer science or engineering.

o Minimum 5 years’ experience in a development or testing role.

o Strong SQL and database knowledge; good understanding of .Net and XML; some knowledge of bug tracking tools and configuration management.

o Excellent technical and analytical skills; strong ability to learn and grow professionally; self-motivated, goal oriented, able to handle pressure and to meet deadlines; organized with keen attention to details; excellent communication skills; able to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

o Willingness to learn, take on new responsibilities and develop a career at ERTH

o Self-driven individual who is able to work well in a remote environment
