We are currently looking for a Quality Controller for our Night Shift to ensure that our products adhere to our high quality standards. Monday to Thursday 10 hour shifts
The quality control inspector is responsible for ensuring that the products manufactured at Hawk Machine meet the required quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect machined parts and finished products for defects, deviations from specifications, and quality issues
- Use measuring tools and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges, to check the dimensions and tolerances of parts
- Perform visual inspections to detect surface defects, scratches, and other imperfections
- Compare products to engineering drawings and other specifications to ensure compliance with requirements
- Verify that all required documentation, including inspection reports and quality records, are complete and accurate
- Identify and report non-conformances and work with production personnel to address and resolve quality issues
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities as needed
- Conduct first article inspections and final inspections to ensure that products meet customer requirements
- Monitor and document process performance to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate with production personnel to ensure that quality requirements are understood and implemented
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a machine shop environment, with a focus on quality control and inspection
- Strong knowledge of measuring tools and equipment, as well as understanding of machining processes
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Familiarity with quality management systems and ISO 9001 standards
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Ability to identify and report quality issues in a timely manner
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing requirements and priorities.

Salary: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
