Job description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or investment banking, in the Consumer Electronics, Auto, OEMs, Telecom, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience supporting hardlines or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG).
  • Experience in retail business strategy or financial planning and execution.
  • Ability to analyze and structure complex negotiations with a proven track record of negotiation and execution.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with both technical and business teams.
  • Ability to identify potential business opportunities, assess financial/business benefit, structure agreements, and discuss terms with strategic partners.

Google's line of products and services to our clients never stops growing. The Partnerships Development team is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce.

The Chrome OS Go-To-Market (GTM) works cross-functionally to set the overall business strategy, ensure channel and partner launch readiness, and manage the quarterly and long-term business planning.

In this role, you will be responsible for executing on the sales and margin guidelines, and working with OEMs and Retail Partners to drive business of Chromebooks. You will drive decisions for the product line (i.e., Chromebooks) to define market opportunities, including device assortment and retail execution. You will work cross-functionally with product, marketing, finance, sales and supply chain to develop the Chrome OS business.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of relationships with Retail partners, driving new opportunities for Chromebooks business growth and product distribution.
  • Help plan the consumer Chromebook strategy with relevant local and global cross-functional teams.
  • Develop performance KPIs and data driven approaches to measure impact and success and lead quarterly business reviews with partners, identifying areas for improvement and growth.
  • Interact with product teams to inform a well-coordinated product portfolio that reflects strategic priorities for engaging with these device manufacturers.
  • Work with retailers and OEM partners to identify sales activities, secure their commitment and implement the strategy.
