The role is offered on a full-time and permanent basis. The Safety and Compliance Agentwill play a critical role in managing and monitoring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain tractor files, ensuring all documentation is organized and up to date
- Maintain all owner operator Safety and inspection records
- Liaise with Penske, TIP, Trailcon, and other vendors for equipment rentals and maintenance
- Prepare and compile records for International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA)
- Facilitate the plating process for trucks and ensure compliance with licensing requirements
- Audit driver logs for regulatory compliance and provide feedback and training
- Review Commercial Vehicle Operator's Registration (CVOR) records and driver abstracts on a monthly basis
- Investigate accidents involving company vehicles and follow up with necessary actions
- Act as the primary liaison with the insurance company, continuously following up on claims to ensure a timely resolution
- Review and follow up with all traffic tickets, warnings, convictions, or accidents
- Update and maintain the insurance report to ensure accuracy and completeness of data
- Thorough knowledge of all MTO rules and regulations regarding driving and driver responsibilities
- Run quarterly safety meetings with all drivers and owner operators
- Analyze and generate reports as required
- Monitoring and staying current with all federal and provincial safety regulations
- Perform general administrative tasks and maintain organized filing systems
Requirements:
- 2+ years' experience in fleet management, compliance, or a similar role
- Degree in a related field (an asset)
- Knowledge of transportation laws and regulations
- Excellent computer skills
- Attention to detail and great organizational skills
