Safety & Compliance Coordinator

Responsibilities:

• Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and develop strategies for prevention
• Electronic log auditing and monitoring. Advising drivers on proper hours and maximizing their hours to get things done.
• Tracking and documenting major and minor violations and hard braking events.
• Managing unassigned driving
• Ticket fighting and resolution.
• Manage CTPAT, CVOR and SMS score.
• Attending training sessions recommended by insurance company.
• Perform orientations for new drivers, owner operators and company.
• Contribute and suggest more efficient and effective ways of doing things.
• Monitoring and Organizing Owner Operator and Company driver maintenance files.
• Available 24/7 for on-call emergency breakdown help and HOS help.
• Monitoring new entrant trainees with progress reporting
• Liaison with insurance company
• Help accounting with IRP license plate registration and renewals.
• Managing and coordinating new driver decals and ELD installs/uninstalls.
• Compliance renewals: CVOR/UCR/MCS-150/SCAC
• Monitoring driver’s authorities books to ensure all documentation is up to date.
• Handle and Monitor Drug Test Scheduling
• Maintain records of safety incidents, inspections, and training sessions
• Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and changes in safety regulations
• Fill-in for dispatching when needed
• Understanding PAPS/PARS, ACE/ACI and Bond requirements and regulations
• Negotiate rates with customers
• Coordinate loads with customers, drivers and their equipment accordingly.

Experience:

• Tractor Trailer - flatbed, stepdeck, Conestoga knowledge
• Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations
• Knowledge of CVOR/MVR documentation and completing annual reviews

Skills:

• Intermediate computer skills, Microsoft office skills ex. Excel and outlook, Adobe Acrobat Reader.
• Advanced organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $35,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
