Site Superintendent

We are looking for a Site Superintendent to provide oversight and direction to each project as it progresses on the development phase. Planning, organising, controlling and safety are four pillars to this job. The ideal candidate can meet deadlines, solve problems and be able to give clear verbal and written communications. Written communication is also important for keeping records and documenting each project.

The Job:

1. Coordinate and direct sub-trade activities.

2. Must be able to plan, allocate resources, manage production and coordinate people and equipment.

4. Recognise and communicate with Project Manager any priority projects or problems.

5. Conduct on-site safety orientation and maintain daily safety reports

6. Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• 5 to 10 years of experience as a site supervisor
• A solid grasp of building concepts and details
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• WHMIS, Fall Arrest and First Aid Certification (Required)
• Strong team-building skills
• Ability to work with all levels from the trades to the owner in a productive and professional manner
• Leadership skills
• Supervision of job assignments carried out by all sub-trades
• Exceptional knowledge of drawings and specifications
• Strong organizational ability to keep documents accessible and current and the site efficient
• Liaison between building management / ownership and construction office
• Identification of deficiencies in subcontract work
• Ability to consistently achieve on time and on budget objectives - must drive Management’s schedule
• Maintaining accurate documentation, including drawings & change order information, drawings logs and site binders.
• Responsibility to ensure all company safety policies are followed by ensuring everyone follows safe work policies and procedures and proper PPE is used by all

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $70,000.00-$140,000.00 per year
