Social Media/Community Coordinator - Freelance Contractor - $1000/month
About us: Founded in 2005, we are Niagara’s only creamery and craft handmade cheese in the heart of wine country.

Details: This is a contract position with a compensation of $1000 a month for approximately 35-40 hours of work per month based on an existing plan. There are many opportunities for you to make a wave with your creative and passionate ideas for our local cheese and shop!
This is a remote (at-home) position however, we would require visits to the creamery in Jordan Station (1 - 4 times a month pending the season) for development of new photo and video content as well as to become familiar with our creamery and retail shop. The role will mostly work with the General Manager and the Retail Manager however you will meet and get to know the cheese production and admin staff as well.
Responsibilities:
The Social Media/community coordinator’s main role is to retain and GROW our presence via implementing strategies and tactics that turn followers into fans and promoters:
- Build and manage the company’s Social Media profiles and presence, including Facebook and Instagram and additional channels that may be deemed relevant.
- Create shareable content appropriate for specific networks to spread both our brand and our content.
- Run regular social promotions and campaigns and track their success.
- Create and distribute content that educates and entertains our audience and supports marketing goals.
- Explore new ways to engage and identify new social networks to reach our target buyers.
- Monitor and engage in relevant social discussions about our company, competitors, and/or industry, both from existing leads and customers as well as from brand new audiences.
- Track, measure, and analyze all initiatives to report on Social Media ROI.
Requirements:
- Active and well-rounded personal presence in Social Media, with a command of each network and their best practices.
- Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions.
- Curious, fast-learning, and resourceful
- Organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Self-motivated and hardworking
- Proficiency in using Social Media software to monitor Social Media conversations.
- Bonus experience and skills include Mail Chimp, Adobe Creative Suite
