Solaris System Administrator
Adecco is currently recruiting for a Solaris System Administrator for a 1- year Remote contract opportunity with possibility of extension. This role is with our Crown corporation client in downtown Ottawa, ON. The successful candidate must hold a valid Secret Security Clearance or be eligible for one.
The Solaris System Administrator will have the following responsibilities:
Assist with operational support for the Solaris 11 environment;
Contribute to Solaris OS patching and remediation practices and cycles;
Assist with planning and execution Solaris patch management using best practices;
Assist with execution and planning of installation, configuration and tuning of Solaris servers using OVM;
Provide input to and/or developing necessary documentation (build books, operation guides);
Other activities and deliverables, as required
The Solaris System Administrator must meet the following mandatory requirements:
University degree or college diploma in computer science or a related field;
Must have a minimum of eight (8) years of demonstrated work experience with Solaris 11
Must have a minimum of eight (8) years of demonstrated work experience with Unix System administration and hardware support;
Must have a minimum of eight (8) years of demonstrated work experience with Build automation (Scripting, Packaging, Ansible, OpsCenter);
