Systems Administrator
JOB SUMMARY:
Our KEI System Administrator is responsible for effective provisioning, installation, configuration and maintenance of systems hardware, software and related infrastructure. Participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, disaster recovery and related procedures adhere to organizational values. Due to the size of the IT team, there is overlapping responsibilities with the Network Administrator.
OBJECTIVES OF THE ROLE:
· Develop good relations with end user base, answer technical questions in person and via phone on all company supported applications and hardware.
· Install, configure, and maintain personal computers, file and print servers, mobile devices and other related equipment, devices, and systems; Develop and maintain hardware and software inventories, and equipment maintenance contracts.
· Deploy new software, server updates and patches as available
· Document all systems modifications and issue resolution for future reference and collaboration.
· Evaluate and/or recommend purchases of computers, peripheral equipment, and software and servers.
· Work as a team member with other technical staff, including networking and applications to ensure connectivity and compatibility between systems.
· Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed.
· Communicate any problems, materials required, safety or quality concerns to Manager in a timely manner.
· Monitor and respond to Help Desk emails and phone calls to ensure end user requests and issues are resolved in a timely manner.
· Provide on-call support to client base after hours on a rotating basis.
SKILLS AND QUALITIES REQUIRED:
· Thorough knowledge of Windows operating system, VMware vCenter, Veeam backup, Windows Server, VPN, Microsoft Exchange Server, Active Directory, GPOs, Aruba wireless technology, Palo Alto firewall, Cisco Switches, HP Servers, SAN, Brightmail, VOIP systems
· Exemplary troubleshooting skills
· Experience with Crowdstrike and Falcon Sensors
· Demonstrated experience applying security best practices and securing IT infrastructure
· Experience developing and maintaining comprehensive systems documentation
· Microsoft Certifications or equivalent work experience
· Database deployment and administration an asset
