Spa Manager

Position Overview:

Wander the Spa, a premier Nordic-inspired wellness destination nestled in the heart of Bloomfield, ON, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Spa Manager to lead our team and uphold our commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences. As Spa Manager, you will oversee all aspects of spa operations, ensuring the highest standards of service delivery, guest satisfaction, and team performance.

Responsibilities:

• Leadership: Provide strong leadership and direction to spa staff, fostering a positive and supportive work environment. Lead by example, motivating team members to deliver outstanding service and achieve performance targets.
• Operations Management: Oversee daily spa operations, including scheduling, inventory management, and maintenance of facilities and equipment. Ensure efficient workflow and adherence to established policies and procedures.
• Guest Experience: Champion a culture of excellence in guest service, ensuring that every guest enjoys a memorable and rejuvenating experience at Wander the Spa. Address guest feedback and concerns promptly and effectively, striving to exceed expectations.
• Staff Development: Recruit, train, and mentor spa staff, fostering their professional growth and development. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to promote individual and team success.
• Sales and Marketing: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement strategies to drive spa revenue and occupancy. Promote spa services and packages, leveraging both traditional and digital marketing channels.
• Financial Management: Monitor spa performance against budgetary goals, analysing key performance indicators and implementing cost-effective measures to optimise profitability. Prepare and review financial reports and forecasts.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards of cleanliness, safety, and sanitation. Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain high-quality service delivery and guest satisfaction.
• Community Engagement: Cultivate relationships with local businesses, organisations, and influencers to enhance the spa's visibility and reputation within the community. Participate in community events and initiatives to promote wellness and outreach.
• Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, seeking opportunities to enhance spa offerings and differentiate Wander the Spa in the marketplace. Introduce new treatments, technologies, and experiences to keep the spa competitive and relevant.
• Administrative Duties: Handle administrative tasks such as payroll processing, budgeting, and record-keeping. Maintain accurate documentation and records related to staff, guests, and operations.

Requirements:

• Minimum of two years of experience in spa or hospitality management, or a related role, preferably in a luxury spa environment.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
• Proven track record of driving revenue growth and achieving business objectives.
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and spa management software (experience with Milano, Klickbook, MindBody or similar systems is an asset).
• Certification or training in spa management, hospitality, or business administration (an asset).
• Passion for wellness and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
