The Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy within the Faculty of Arts & Science is a leader in interdisciplinary research, teaching and global engagement. Your opportunity:
Reporting to the Executive Director, this position will support the construction, launch and smooth operation of a number of new Student Programs, co-curricular and experiential learning initiatives for both undergraduate and graduate students. In addition to providing day-to-day administrative support on these projects, the incumbent will engage regularly with a diverse range of stakeholders including students, faculty, and staff at the University as well as external partners. The incumbent will also provide project planning and execution expertise for a number of other new initiatives as they arise at the School.
Your responsibilities will include:
-Planning and implementing components of curricular and/or co-curricular programs and activities
-Planning and overseeing the implementation of an evaluation framework for programs and initiatives
-Executing assigned tasks according to production schedules and Project plans
-Building and strengthening relationships with stakeholders and partners of strategic importance
-Implementing project plans
-Advising students on co-curricular, academic and personal matters by providing options and consequences incorporating personal circumstances impacting academic success and an understanding of an individual's background
-Interpreting and applying policies and procedures when making independent decisions
-Monitoring accounts for a project and/or program
Essential Qualifications:
-Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
-Minimum four years recent and relevant experience in student co-curricular Program and Project management, in a university environment
-Experience in planning, designing and the implementation of new Student Programs and initiatives
-Experience with international program implementation
-Experience with building and strengthening relationships with stakeholders and partners of strategic importance
-Experience producing complex statistical and/or financial reports.
-Experience monitoring budgets for projects.
-Experience with undergraduate recruitment
-Experience advising students on co-curricular, academic and personal matters
-Experience planning, organizing and promoting events for Student Programs and initiatives
-knowledge of university policies and procedures and an understanding of the university’s organizational structure, including its governance.
-Demonstrated understanding of the post-secondary environment, undergraduate/graduate education and initiatives.
-Excellent interpersonal skills, strong organizational abilities, superb presentation skills and ability to effectively deal and engage with highly diverse and demanding communities of stakeholders.
-Strong verbal and written communication skills
-Strong working knowledge in MS Office

Pay Scale Group & Hiring Zone:
USW Pay Band 12 -- $78,308 with an annual step progression to a maximum of $100,144. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
