Under the direction of the Fabrication & Maintenance Manager, the Production Team Lead will play a crucial role in the production team, overseeing a team to meet production targets while maintaining quality and efficiency. As a Production Team Lead, you will require leadership, technical, and organizational skills. You will supervise staff, organize workflows, troubleshoot issues, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily operations of the designated production team to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
• Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, while considering individual strengths and production requirements.
• Monitor team performance, providing feedback, guidance, and training to ensure productivity and quality standards are met.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Coordinate with other departments, such as quality, engineering, logistics, and maintenance, to ensure timely production and resolution of issues.
• Implement and manage daily scheduling needs to meet deadlines.
• Ensure products being produced meet quality and safety standards and specifications.
• Implement quality control measures, conduct inspections as needed, and resolve any issues in a prompt manner.
• Uphold and enforce workplace safety regulations and procedures by conducting regular safety meetings and training sessions for your team.
• Ensure the production area is clean, organized, and compliant with industry standards.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles and practices.
• Maintain and report accurate records of production data, including output, waste, downtime, and quality metrics.
• Prepare and present reports on production performance and challenges.

Skills, Education, and/or Experience

• Proven experience in a production environment with leadership responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of production processes and machinery.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to interpret complex drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
• High precision and attention to detail to ensure the production of accurate components.
• Ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with production management software.
• Relevant education or certifications in manufacturing, production management, or a related field are beneficial.

Job Conditions
Physical Demands:

• Moderate physical effort – able to lift up to 50 lbs at times.
• Sitting, lifting, squatting, pushing, pulling, or reaching for intermittent or extended periods.
• Prolonged periods of sitting as a desk and looking at a computer.

Work Environment:

• Factory, Warehouse, Distribution Center, Office.
• May be exposed to loud, repetitive sounds from machinery or equipment.
• May use chemicals or other in accordance with MSDS.
• May operate machinery in close proximity or with objects exposed to eyes or face.
