This full-time seasonal position is fun and dynamic. Successful applicants will be helping guests at the Cave Park Visitor Centre and in the Gear Rental Kiosk. This is a busy and exciting role, and the right candidates will exhibit excellent customer service skills. Free Staff Camp Site accommodation is available at the beautiful Horne Lake Regional Park Campground, just 1km from work!
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting guests with booking tours, rentals, and information
- Operating computer program to manage schedules and input bookings
- Taking cash and card payments in Visitor Centre/Gift Shop/
- Taking phone bookings and processing payments
- Performing cash-outs and basic housekeeping duties
- Coordinating guides and guests to ensure everyone is in the right place at the right time
- Dealing with the technical challenges that come with working off the grid
Requirements:
- Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment under pressure
- Excellent Customer Service, people and phone skills
- Ability to hike distances and lift up to 40lbs weight
- Excellent English verbal and written skills (extra languages a bonus)
- Basic computer knowledge of reservations programs, Microsoft Excel, Word and Google Docs
- Occupational First Aid minimum Level One (or equivalent)
- A driver’s licence and vehicle to get to the park daily
- Flexibility to work long hours when necessary
- Clean criminal record check
