This position will assist in ensuring that the company receives payment for goods and services offered to customers by managing the flow of revenue via the invoicing and collection process. From credit application to invoicing, follow-up and debt collection of late payments the incumbent will support a healthy cash flow to support business growth and profitability.
The candidate will be situated at the front desk to cover all incoming calls and forward them to the appropriate staff.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares, posts, verifies and records customer payments and transactions related to Accounts Receivable.
- Creates invoices according to company practices and submits them to customers on time.
- Maintains and updates customer files, including name or address changes, mergers or mailing attentions.
- Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections and identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files and contacts delinquent account holders to request payment.
- Creates reports regarding the current status of customer accounts as requested.
- Researches customer discrepancies or past-due amounts and escalates to management, as necessary
- Assists in generating monthly billing statements based on the general ledger.
- Assists Accounting Manager in reconciling revenue accounts each month.
- Copies, files, and retrieves materials for Accounts Receivable as needed.
- Relays changes of information to appropriate departments.
Experience/Skills/Education
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office or related software as well as other accounting software programs.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Salary will be determined based on experience.
