What- the Role: Due to continued business growth and increasing volume of invoices, our client needs a great new resource on their accounting and finance team (~100 employees in the accounting function world-wide). The new Accounting Clerk will take on a variety of responsibilities including multi-currency Accounts Receivable, reconciliations, and other duties as assigned. The Acct Clerk will also be a contributor to month-end and year-end audit processes. We are looking for people who are detail-oriented and who can be both accurate and efficient at the same time.
This is an approximately 6-month contract to start, and there is a very good chance that the contractor will be considered for permanent employment down the road if they are an excellent worker. Several individuals who SWIM has placed on contract in this company’s accounting department have been converted to permanent employees. Who- the Candidate: We are looking for an accounting professional who is a team player and who enjoys working in a fast-paced and high-volume work environment. Candidates will have at least 2 years recent AR experience, and will be computer savvy with ability to learn new systems quickly. Experience using Kofax and/or Concur is an asset. Must have good intermediate-level Excel skills.
How Much: For the contract, hourly rate commensurate with level of Accounts Receivable experience and skills- likely in the range of $23 to maximum $30 an hour. Where: Based full-time in the company’s Vancouver head office- accessible by car, bike, walking, bus, and SkyTrain. After initial training, the Accounting Clerk can choose to work from home 1 or 2 days a week.
