Accounts Receivable Staff
As a member of the Accounts Receivable team, you will work closely with other Accounts Receivable team members and will be primarily responsible for performing data entry, account management and related duties in posting Accounts Receivable payments, collecting receivables, and reconciling dealer statements on a regular basis. This role requires professional interaction with dealers and sales representatives to provide billing information and support to facilitate collections on accounts due to Global Warranty.
Duties:
· Perform dealer collection calls daily including making appropriate notes in dealer files
· Perform data entry and ensure accuracy of financial records
· Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies
· Contact customers to collect outstanding payments
· Provide excellent customer service and address any billing inquiries or issues
· Perform electronic bank deposits and record the deposits
· Analyze Accounts Receivable aging reports and take appropriate actions
· Review all credit balances, refunds, and adjustments, and apply adjustments and/or corrections to the appropriate billing records
· Assist with month-end closing activities and financial reporting
· Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Sage, and others
· Maintain confidentiality of financial information
Experience:
· University/college degree/diploma in finance, accounting, or related field
· 2+ years’ experience in accounting or related field preferred
· Knowledge of accounting principles, GAAP, and tax legislation
· Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
· Excellent customer service and phone etiquette
· Ability to analyze financial data and identify trends or issues
· Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. Direct knowledge of NetSuite would be an asset
· Knowledge of basic math principles for calculations and reconciliations
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Desire to learn new skills and adapt to a changing workplace
· Ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously
· Strong organizational and analytical skills
· Ability to follow company policy, protect company’s value by keeping sensitive information confidential
· Perform with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
· Impeccable work ethic, willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships
