The company operates two laboratories serving clients throughout Canada, the US and Internationally.
We are looking for a results-driven, high-energy individual with proven agronomy skills and a strong agricultural background to join our team in the Alberta market, focusing on the row crop and cannabis production markets. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will be responsible to:
- Provide agronomic expertise (analysis and interpretation of sample results) and business value to clients and stakeholders.
- Provide a timely response to resolve any customer issues effectively and efficiently.
- Deliver customer training programs to build competency in using company products and services.
- Build and implement local strategies that nurture existing clients and support the development of new business relationships resulting in the achievement of territory sales targets.
- Execute all sales and marketing strategies including presenting company programs and services to new and existing customers.
- Represent the company at all relevant trade and industry shows and events.
- Maintain regular and timely communications with Senior Management.
The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:
- University degree in Agriculture/Agronomy; or Natural Sciences/Diploma in Agriculture
- CCA certification or progressing towards the designation
- Minimum 5 years industry experience in Agronomy/Technical sales
- Excels at making connections with business owners and key decision makers
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Proven ability to work independently in a remote situation and as a team member in a fast-paced environment
- Strong desire to learn, grow and be a strong contributor to a burgeoning business
- Efficient in planning, organizing, and implementation of customer programs
- Must possess a valid class G Driver’s License and be willing to travel frequently throughout the province of Alberta, occasionally across Canada
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
