Job Description:
As a Business Development Representative - Indigenous and Community Relations Specialist at Growcer, you will play a crucial role in expanding our reach and impact within Indigenous communities across Canada and the US. You will work closely with Indigenous partners, building strong relationships and identifying opportunities for Growcer's farming solutions to create positive change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation:
- Initiate top-of-the-funnel lead-generation activities to support account executives in identifying potential customers.
- Identify and cultivate new relationship opportunities through proactive and consultative approaches, including outbound sales calls, networking, and direct marketing.
- Collaborate with the revenue team to extend Growcer's reach within Indigenous markets.
- Prospecting and Qualification:
- Conduct discovery and qualification calls with prospective Indigenous clients.
- Clearly and effectively articulate Growcer's value proposition, generating excitement and interest within Indigenous communities.
- Events:
- Attend national and regional conferences relevant to Indigenous markets and sectors.
- Identify and engage with potential clients and partners during these events.
- Collaborative Initiatives:
- Work with internal teams to develop tailored proposals and solutions for Indigenous markets.
Qualifications:
- A proven track record in Business Development or a similar role within Indigenous markets.
- Self-motivated and independent, able to take initiative and quickly adapt with minimal direction.
- Strong knowledge of Indigenous cultures, land use, traditional knowledge, and leadership structures.
- Exceptional communication skills, unafraid to initiate conversations and influence others.
- Resilient and adaptable, thriving in a rapidly changing and growing environment.
