The City of Abbotsford’s Bylaw Services department is growing and we are seeking a Bylaw Services Administratorto join our dynamic team. In this fast-paced and diverse role, you will be responsible for providing user support and assisting with in-house training for specific business systems. This position also interprets and explains bylaws, policies and regulations to the public and provides assistance with the processing of bylaw non-compliance folders and business license applications.
As the successful candidate, you will have the ability to exercise courtesy, tact, diplomacy and maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times, particularly when working under pressure. Your strong communication and relationship management skills will allow you to communicate information clearly with various patrons on matters related to Bylaws and Business Licences. Your organization and time management skills will assist you with prioritizing a busy workload and meeting tight deadlines.
As the successful candidate, you will have:
- Completion of a post-secondary certificate in office administration, business administration or related discipline.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in office administration and/or business systems support in a regulatory environment.
This position is unionized, CUPE Local 774, and the hourly rate of pay is from $28.85 to $33.95.
