Client Support: Design Survey (Edmonton)
ABSA, the pressure equipment safety authority has an opening for an administrative professional in our Design Survey Department. This department is responsible for reviewing and registering pressure equipment engineering designs to ensure compliance with Alberta regulations and adopted codes & standards.
Our goal is to ensure that design applications are processed as efficiently as possible. This position is responsible for maintaining a high level of customer service by providing timely support to ABSA clients and our internal engineers in the processing of pressure equipment design applications and registrations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing design engineering application packages to ensure all documentation is included.
- Providing guidance to customers on navigating the registration process.
- Ensuring documentation and correspondence is filed correctly.
- Preparing and distributing official letters. (e.g. Acceptance letters, extension letters)
- Preparation and verification of invoices.
- Compiling data to be used in regular reports.
- Developing and revising internal procedures.
- Assisting with department improvement projects.
Qualifications
- 2 years prior working experiencing in a technical office environment (e.g. engineering, oil & gas, manufacturing, etc.)
- Intermediate Microsoft applications skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Prior experience with database applications
- Excellent verbal and written English communication.
