The Role
We are seeking an organized and self-starting Community Coordinator (part-time or full-time depending) to support the growth of the technology industry in the Okanagan, specifically with a lens of the greater Vernon community. As the first point of contact for our entrepreneurial community in the North Okanagan atThe VIEW(Vernon Innovation and Entrepreneur Workspace), you will be responsible for facilitating connections, providing resources, and other key responsibilities including; day-to-day office administration, facilities coordination, organizing events, and maintaining client systems.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the VIEW co-working space, including tenant onboarding/offboarding, meeting room rentals, and more
- Assist with administrative tasks such as contract management, communication distribution, and membership database maintenance.
- Provide virtual and in-person tours and support community members by providing resources and referrals.
- Screen, distribute, and respond to calls, voicemails, emails, and inquiries
- Support AO staff, board, tenants, and members with facilities, meeting coordination, and event planning
- Managing office logistics such as supplies, equipment, and vendors.
- Problem solve facilities challenges that arise at the VIEW
- Membership outreach and engagement
- Ensure AO and the co-working space are organized, clean, and welcoming
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors, community organizations, and members.
Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational and customer service skills
- Familiarity with Eventbrite, Hubspot, Slack, and G-suite an asset
- Strong organizational and customer service skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion in decision-making.
- Ability to balance multiple tasks and willingness to learn new skills.
Desired Start Date:March 1, 2024
Wage:$22 per hour
