JOB SUMMARY:
The Program Coordinator will:
plan, implement and oversee the day-to-day activities of the Advocacy and Women’s Safety programs and assist the Department Manager with the supervision of program staff by scheduling meetings and check ins.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The Program Coordinator will have:
- a diploma in a related human/social service field with at least,
- 3 years recent, related experience, including 1year supervision, administration experience, program development or
- an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

- computer literacy in Excel, Word, and email programs
- a valid class 5 driver’s license
- Food Safe certificate
- First Aid and CPR certificate
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)
- Suicide Intervention and Prevention training (ASIST)
- Knowledge of intimate partner violence, including the dynamics of abuse, risk identification and safety planning and the impacts of violence on families.
- Knowledge of the elements and application of trauma-informed and survivor-centered collaborative practice.
HOURS OF WORK:
28 Hrs a week
RATE OF PAY:
$ 32.79 as per the Collective Agreement
