Career Opportunity - Project Coordinator

Thermo Design Insulation Ltd is currently in search of a full-time Project Coordinatorin Ottawa, Ontario. Reporting directly to the Branch Manager, you would be tasked with coordination, scheduling, quantity surveying, reporting and quality administration functions in order to complete the project on a timely and cost-effective manner. This role will allow you to develop project management skills working for a large Subcontractor.
The Project Coordinatorshall perform such tasks, duties and responsibilities as are generally consistent with the role:
· Project coordination including tracking ordered materials, supervision of shop drawing preparation, liaison with customers, point of contact with field personnel, and suppliers in order to perform the work within budget.
· Quantifying and estimating changes to contract.
· Assist in overseeing onsite construction to monitor compliance construction details and safety regulations.
· Work along-side site superintendent to coordinate and direct field personnel,
· Monitor and assess contractual work performance.
· Prepare reports pertaining to job status.
· Planning of construction to prevent problems and/or, resolve any emerging ones.
· Analyze, manage and mitigate potential cost impacts to the project.
· Ensure construction details are properly followed by company workers.
· Perform Quality Administration and Quality Control (QAQC) requirements of Project (incl. inspection check-lists, picture taking and, filing both digitally and carbon copies).
· Project Coordinator working primarily from Ottawa office, weekly site visits as required on projects located throughout eastern Ontario.
· Others duties as required to fulfill the role.
Assets
· Proven working experience in construction management.
· Knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
· Knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards.
· Understanding of all facets of the construction process.
· Familiarity with construction management software packages (ie. BlueBeam Revu, Microsoft Project & Office).
· Excellent time and project management skills.
· Post-Secondary education in construction management, or related field.
