Fairmont Dental Centre is a well-established and family-oriented general dentistry practice located in central London, Ontario. We've been providing dental services for over 40 years. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Receptionist to join our team. The successful candidate will be the first and most important point of contact for our dental office, and will be respond for greeting and welcoming patients. Other important roles include scheduling appointments, answering phones, collecting payments, and providing general administrative support. The ideal candidate will have a friendly and professional demeanor, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of the dental software tracker is an asset, but not a requirement.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Schedule and confirm appointments using our electronic medical records system
- Answer phone calls and address patient inquiries or concerns
- Manage patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Process insurance claims and verify coverage for patients
- Collect payments and provide financial information to patients
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed
Skills
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar administrative role
- Proficiency in using dental office software, such as Tracker or similar systems
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Exceptional customer service abilities with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail and accuracy in managing patient records and insurance claims
- Familiarity with phone systems and ability to handle high call volumes
