Finance Intern

We are currently looking for a Finance Intern in our Toronto, Ontario office. As a member of a collaborative team, the individual in this role will be an integral member of the Finance team within the Ground Transportation Systems Canada - Urban Rail Signaling business line. The intern will be involved in many aspects of the fiscal lifecycle.
This internship will last for 4 months from May to August 2021.
Key Accountabilities:

• Working with Bids and Project finance team as well as Financial reporting analyst to:
  • Monitor, collect, analyze, disseminate & report on Financial information,
  • Create new databases / reports
  • Be involved in transformation initiatives and preparation of information to support new group reporting
  • Work on services reporting and potential harmonization / consolidation with US and Canada business
  • Support for annual budget preparation of cost centers and projects
  • Bid costing support and/or internal project reporting

Required Requirements:

• Currently a university student in a business degree program with interest in finance and accounting
• Business financial analytics, experience working with financial reporting tools
• Strong experience working with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Energetic and motivated to learn and grow
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with attention to detail
• Desire to work in a company with a team-based approach and culture of excellence
