Finance Manager, Consolidation & External Reporting

We are looking for a manager of the Consolidation & External Reporting team, who will play a strategic role within the finance organization. You will be responsible for the timely delivery of accurate and relevant consolidated financial information to senior management and external shareholders.

This role, based at our Montreal's office, will report directly to the Finance Director & Corporate Controller.

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

• Lead the consolidation of the Company's financial results.
• Lead the preparation and timely delivery of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements, MD&A, and supplemental financial information that are prepared in compliance with all financial policies, standards, IFRS and requirements for public company.
• Participate in the preparation of the Annual Information Form, the Management Proxy Circular, and the presentation/documentation for the annual general meeting of shareholders.
• Participate in the newly integrated reporting on Environment, Social and Governance (ESG).
• Coordinate the implementation of new or revised accounting and reporting requirements, including the preparation of corporate accounting policies and technical accounting updates.
• Assess the accounting implications of unusual and complex transactions and prepare related documentation.
• Be a strategic business partner and adviser on accounting related issues to management and other finance teams, including business units, merger and acquisition, tax, and treasury.
• Prepare and facilitate training sessions for the finance team.
• Lead contact for external auditors on accounting and disclosure related matters.

YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

• Professional accounting designation mandatory (CPA).
• 8 to 15 years of relevant experience.
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS and excellent ability to interpret accounting standards and their practical application.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Application expertise (desirable): Blackline, SAP, and Controller.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization and adapt quickly to change.
• Ability to work collaboratively across business units, departmental functions, and regions.
• Self-starter, demonstrate high level of initiative and autonomy.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Critical thinking, analytical and financial analysis skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English.
