Job description

Candidate: Mill Run Golf Club is looking for a service-oriented Food and Beverage Manager to manage our Food and Beverage Operation. The ideal candidate will have experience at a Semi-Private or Private Golf Club managing Daily Operations and Events. Job Overview: Under the guidance of the General Manager; the Food and Beverage Manager will direct and oversee all Food and Beverage outlets including FOH personnel, inventory management, and quality control. You will be an integral part of the success of the Club and a key member of the Management Team responsible for Member and Guest satisfaction, and the financial performance of the department.

This position requires a highly visible and self-motivated individual who can work with minimal supervision at a high level of professionalism.

Qualifications should include a minimum of 3 to 5 years managing a Front of House Food and Beverage Operation.

Duties:

  • Oversee the day-to-day leadership of the Food & Beverage operation, which includes Banquets, Clubhouse Dining, and On Course F&B Outlets
  • Drive a culture of performance and high engagement through recognition, training, and coaching
  • Consistently display exceptional leadership by providing a positive work environment, counseling team members as appropriate, and demonstrating a dedicated and professional approach to managing a team
  • Ensure efficient operations at all F&B outlets, as well as maintain high quality and service standards
  • Clearly describe, assign, and delegate responsibility and authority for the operation of the various outlets of the Food and Beverage departments (i.e., grille, patios, events, lounge, halfway house, and Beverage carts).
  • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets, revenue goals, and expenses for the Food and Beverage department. Take any corrective actions that may be needed
  • Execute beverage inventory control and calculation for monthly analysis and reconciliation, while identifying opportunities to control beverage costs and other expenses
  • Implement and enforce policies and procedures for the Food & Beverage department
  • Interview, hire, train, schedule, direct, evaluate performance, reward, and discipline FOH Team; address complaints and resolve problems.

Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience as a Food & Beverage leader, in a management or high-level supervisor role
  • Ability to read and speak English will be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. will be required to communicate with English speaking customers or co-workers)
  • Strong computer skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in Business/Hospitality Management/Food and Beverage Management and/or equivalent is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal, written, and presentation
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivated; high degree of integrity
  • Organized, results-oriented, proven time management skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Frequent standing, walking, talking, and hearing, along with occasional sitting, use of hands, racing with arms, balancing, crouching and kneeling are required along with the ability to regularly lift 25 lbs or more and occasionally lift 50 lbs.
