Position Overview:
As a Front Desk Agent, you will be the first point of contact for guests, providing a warm welcome and ensuring their overall satisfaction throughout their stay. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of the Front Desk, handling guest inquiries, reservations, check-ins, check-outs, and ensuring a seamless guest experience.
Responsibilities:
Guest Services:
- Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner upon arrival.
- Assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures efficiently and accurately.
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and courteously, striving to resolve issues to the guests' satisfaction.
- Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions to guests.
- Maintain a positive attitude and ensure guests feel valued and welcomed at all times.
Reservations and Booking:
- Process guest reservations, ensuring accuracy of all details and special requests.
- Monitor room availability and communicate effectively with other departments to ensure efficient allocation of rooms.
- Upsell hotel amenities and services to guests, maximizing revenue opportunities.
- Maintain knowledge of room rates, packages, and promotions to effectively promote and sell them to guests.
Administrative Duties:
- Perform general administrative tasks such as answering phones, responding to emails, and handling guest correspondence.
- Maintain accurate records of guest information, transactions, and preferences using hotel management software.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions in compliance with hotel policies and procedures.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the Front Desk area.
Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other departments, including housekeeping and maintenance, to ensure guest needs are met promptly.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth handovers and continuity of service during shifts.
- Support fellow team members and contribute to a positive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in hospitality or customer service roles preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and hotel management software.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality or related field is a plus.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: $18.25 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 24 per week
