Job description:
Our growing company is looking for someone to fill a Front Desk / Concierge position at a condominium apartment building in Waterloo. This position is a highly visible role as the Concierge position essentially the face of the building. Developing and maintaining a positive company image by efficiently interacting with all owners, residents, prospective residents, guests, and vendors is essential. The Concierge is critical to the owner/tenant experience by providing exceptional knowledge, service, and are an integral part of the property team. The chosen candidate must promote a sense of community with residents, employees and guests. Applicants must be available to work Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
Job requirements:
Applicants must take pride in their work and be invested in providing tenants with a welcoming & clean living environment. 1-2 years in a customer service/concierge setting preferred. The candidate must conduct themselves in a professionalism in the way when interacting and communicating with people. Experience with Microsoft Office and ability to be trained on certain computer systems is mandatory. Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities:
The candidate must provide customer service to residents, owners, staff, vendors and contractors. Responding to email communication and telephone calls, answering inquiries and offering suggestions helping residents get timely resolution on maintenance or other issues is very important. Other administrative duties required could be emailing residents, printing basic signage, light photocopying, creating & sending broadcast email notices and posting prepared newsletters & documents. You may be asked to monitor security footage, assist in investigations by reviewing footage and security log reviews for any unusual incidents, and when necessary prepare security reports for Property Management. Another task is performing weekly/monthly building inspections, responding to weaknesses in security, and preventing or reporting property damage to the Property Manager and posting reports on building computer programs. Also programming FOBs and maintaining a list of authorized FOB access devices may be required.
- Answer guest, vendor and resident queries and help foster an open environment.
- Assist with the tenant move-in / move-out process.
- Monitor and assist with amenity reservations (lounge, guest suite, etc.)
- Proactively communicate with other team members and management.
- Share resident feedback with the company to improve the resident experience.
- Ensure property rules and regulations are upheld
- Effectively monitor and maintain resident portal
- Maintain work area to an appropriate level of presentation
Working conditions:
The applicant must be available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
Skills:
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Hospitality or Administrative or Retail experience.
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, Google, etc. Comfort with basic technology.

Salary: $21.00/hr to start
