We are seeking a dedicated, organized and mature Clinic Receptionist and Administrative Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in insurance billing (TELUS, Alberta Blue Cross, Sun Life, Claim X change, Provider Connect etc.), excellent customer service skills, and proficiency in using the Jane app for clinic management.
Responsibilities:
- Insurance Billing: Process insurance claims accurately and efficiently using various platforms such as TELUS, Alberta Blue Cross, Sun Life, etc. Ensure all necessary documentation is submitted and follow up on any outstanding claims.
- Appointment Management: Answer phone calls and emails, schedule appointments, and manage the clinic's appointment calendar using the Jane app. Confirm appointments with patients and reschedule as needed.
- Patient Assistance: Greet patients and visitors as they arrive at the clinic, provide assistance, and answer any questions they may have about our services or procedures.
- Payment Processing: Collect payments for services rendered, process transactions accurately using our payment system, and provide receipts to patients. Handle cash, debit, and credit card transactions securely.
- Laundry Duties: Manage the clinic's laundry needs by washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and towels used during treatments. Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained at all times.
- Routine Cleanliness: Perform day-to-day cleaning tasks to ensure the clinic is tidy and presentable for patients and staff. This includes dusting, sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces in treatment rooms, waiting areas, and common areas.
Requirements:
- Must have experience in insurance billing, particularly with TELUS, Alberta Blue Cross, Sun Life, Claim X change, Provider Connect.
- Familiarity with using the Jane app for clinic management.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with office software.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Able to work independently and efficiently manage tasks with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
- Part-time (with potential for conversion to full-time in 4-6 months based on performance)
- Willing to work at multiple locations as needed to support the clinic's operations.
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $15.50-$18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
