Job Description:
Reporting to the Director, Applied Research, the In-Class Projects (ICP) Coordinator provides efficient and responsive administrative support to Applied Research Office (ARO) staff, as well as faculty and student researchers. Key responsibilities of the role involve the coordination of in-class applied research projects with faculty or project managers and industry partners, processing new project applications, collaborative research agreements, and facilitating project purchasing, including providing occasional support to the Grants and Projects Officer. The position requires an elevated level of organization and attention to detail, as well as effective communication skills. A key deliverable is assisting with the evolution and improvement of the policies, processes and procedures that are required to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of in-class projects support to students, faculty, staff, and clients.
Required Qualifications:
- Three (3) year diploma / degree or equivalent in General Business, Social Science, etc.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience, preferably in an office support environment, such as office administration, business administration, or a project management office;
- Experience in research administration would be an asset.
