WASH TECHNICIAN
May through August (September long weekend)
REPORTS TO:
Equipment Manager, Assistant Superintendents and Superintendent
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for performing daily maintenance and cleaning of mowers and other turf care equipment. The Wash Technician is also responsible for keeping shop supplies stocked, the cleanliness of the shop and ensuring that no unsafe work conditions exist. This is a full-time position from May through August. Length of employment does have the potential to expand into September or October.
JOB TASKS (DUTIES):
1. Clean mowing equipment after use, check oil and fuel levels for next use.
2. Report damage or irregularities of equipment to the Equipment Manager.
3. Ensure shop, cold storage and wash pad cleanliness.
4. Maintain adequate supply of rags & towels.
5. Wash laundry as required.
6. Perform minor equipment repair as directed by the Equipment Manager.
7. Assist in setup of specialized equipment.
8. Ensure mixed fuel, gas and diesel, is in adequate supply.
9. Ensure string trimmers are full of string and ready to use.
10. Perform any other duties as directed by the Equipment Manager.
Qualifications:
1. Requires working knowledge of the general operation of gasoline and diesel engines.
2. Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
3. Organizational abilities.
4. Possession of a valid driver’s license
This position pays $18.25 per hour and averages 40 hours per week. Benefits of being an EPGCC team member include: weekly golf privileges; team uniform; and access to team social events.
