Summary:

This key role in Freshouse Foods supports the Administration, Production, Logistics, and Packaging Teams with recruitment needs. The Recruitment Specialist is responsible for driving all recruitment & selection, onboarding and offboarding processes. This position is a key point of contact for potential candidates, managers, staff, employment agencies, and students. This role plays an important role helping to shape the culture of our organization, and ensuring we can attract the most suitable candidate pool and hire the best possible employees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and manage recruitment strategies to fill requirements while engaging in dialogue to understand the position requirements and ultimately drive new solutions.
• Implement a hiring and interview process to ensure the assessment and selection of candidates.
• Provide recruitment-related guidance and consultation to hiring supervisors and managers.
• Actively headhunt and source candidates with a focus on marketing the opportunity on various platforms to attract a wide pool of talent.
• Employ highly effective interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills in reaching out to potential candidates to understand their career goals.
• Screen resume applications and pre-screen candidates to understand their career goals while marketing the career opportunity.
• Schedule interviews with hiring managers and follow up with candidates throughout the interview process.
• Conduct reference checks and prepare offer documents.
• Assertively research opportunities to continuously improve recruitment processes in attracting talent to the organization.
• Schedule meetings with hiring managers after selection process is complete and candidates are on-board to see if they are meeting the requirements.
• Review staffing agency personnel suitability and work with agencies to bring best candidates to the site.
• Assist with other Human Resources goals and objectives.

Requirements:

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or related field – process of pursuing or completing CHRP would be considered an asset

• 2-years experience in full-cycle recruitment, preferably within the food manufacturing sector
• Outgoing, professional, and assertive in communication with an emphasis on building and supporting relationships
• Highly effective communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
• A true passion for people, HR, and recruitment
• Self-motivated and ambitious – with excellent organization and project management skills.
• Able to meet deadlines and multitask.

• On-site 5-days a week.
• Prolong periods of sitting.
• Plant environment – cold, noisy, and busy.
• PPE required when on plant floor.
