We are currently looking for a HR Generalist.
As a HR Generalist, you will assist with all Human Resources functions for the Mansour Group and its divisions. This position will work collaboratively as a confidential resource providing policy and procedure development and guidance to employees and management. Also, to contribute to a co-operative work environment where fairness, equity and non-discriminatory practices are the standard. This position is accountable to ensure expectations are met consistently and in accordance with the HR guidelines and procedures at the company.
Roles and Responsibilities
· Implement and administer employee policies and promote positive employee relations.
· Plan HR needs/requirements in conjunction with managers
- Develop HR action plans.
- Implement HR plans and programs.
- Evaluate and review HR planning efforts.
· Coordinate internal and external recruitment activities.
· Manage and monitor performance – related issues and implement changes.
· Review performance evaluations and other reports.
· Organize and advise on employee benefits program.
· Answer HR enquires from employees.
· Provide recruiting assistance and candidate screening and assessment.
· Work towards improving company policies and procedures.
· Be well-versed in laws and regulations specific to HR.
· Work with department heads to create new training programs.
· Develop and handle employee relations (disciplinary, mediation, terminations, etc.)
· Maintain professional relationships with employment agencies, local universities, and colleges.
· Provide training and support to the team members of the Human Resources department.
· Advise, influence, and assist other managers on interpretation and administration of company policies and legislative requirements.
· Plan return to work programs/modified work agreements.
· Develop, implement, and administer company policies/procedures and specialty programs.
Requirements and Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources management, Business Administration or related field.
· Knowledge and expertise in HR policies and procedures
· Significant knowledge of hiring processes
· A strong understanding of best practices and current regulations specific to HR
· Excellent judgement and problem-solving skills.
· Knowledge about conflict management
· Strong decision-making skills.
· Excellent communication skills
· Proficency in software like MS Office
· CHRP or CHRL designation or working towards is considered an asset.
